The Irvine Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the California Green Business Network (CAGBN) is launching the Irvine Green Business Certification Program which will provide a comprehensive guideline on how to become a green business. Taking a comprehensive industry-specific checklist and partnering with our local utilities, The Irvine chamber will be certifying local businesses as a “green business” according to state and local standards.

The program’s goal is to significantly reduce solid waste, pollution and greenhouse gasses in accordance with the goals of the city, state and nation.

Irvine will be the first in Orange County to implement the program and offer the certification which will be supported by the CAGBP’s network of 21 other municipalities and counties throughout the state.

The Irvine Green Business Certification Program will help improve your bottom line by reducing your energy and waste costs, providing access to tax credits, rebates and incentives.

The program will cost $500 for a 2 year certification and recognition will be displayed and advertised not only on the Irvine Chamber website but also listed on the CAGBN website (http://greenbusinessca.org). The program is not limited to Irvine; businesses in surrounding areas can also participate
