Living in Irvine

Ideal for Work & Play

In 2008, CNNMoney.com declared Irvine the fourth best place to live in the United States. Few cities have been built with the vision and precision that shaped Irvine.

It's one of the largest and earliest master planned communities—a community that is now a large city of over 200,000. Irvine was designed with a clear intention: create an environment that would be ideal to live and work in. That intention has been realized through many details: extra wide streets to accommodate traffic flow and growth, extensive citywide landscaping, numerous parks and outdoor shopping areas.

From anywhere in Irvine you are minutes from world-renowned shopping, championship golf courses, spectacular beaches, protected wilderness areas, award-winning restaurants, family-friendly theme parks, and prominent arts and culture. It's easy to enjoy all that Irvine has to offer, particularly because of the climate and safety record. Irvine is very close to the Southern California coast and the enjoys a mild mediterranean climate that allows for outdoor activities year-round. And, for the 6th year in a row, the FBI shows that Irvine is the safest large city in America, with remarkably low crime rates.

For all these reasons and more, it's hard to find a more desirable location to live, work and play.
